Hello Everyone,
I am new to the AI server and just learning the tricks. What the best way to avoid getting the a white screen when importing media?

What format is your media in? We recommend you use our own codec called AiM. It is a quicktime codec so you can render directly to this format from any quicktime capable application or batch converter etc. Here's the link:

Thanks and best regards

We are using your AIM codec.

to be more specific.

I have content in the folder. Lets say 001 War Pigs. The file is 001 Pigs in Space V_1.
Show designer does not like the content.  Content guys make new content. File 001 Pigs in Space V_2.

I exit AI software. Replace content.

Lighting Programmer brings up the song screen is in white.  Programmer then needs to move off the file and back to it for new content to be there.

That is what is happening.
Is there a step I am missing to importing?

ah ok i see. So you don't need to quit out of Ai, just set File and folder to 0 on your desk for all layers then the system clears all buffers , you are then free to replace content, then once the transfer is complete then trigger the file and folder you need again and you should be good to go.

Hope that helps
