Store values module

I don't understand why a active window module is needed to use the Store value module.

it doesn't necesarily need to be connected to a window.  It can be connected to any active render chain.  Using the gl/render merge module you can merge the connection of this module into an active render chain.  It may seem odd, but it basically just activates the module as everything in Ai is based around active render paths.
