Custom Server Build Sheet
Custom Server Build Sheet
I know this is a frequently asked topic, so I thought I'd post the specs for my custom built hardware for any brave souls out there:
Motherboard: EVGA X99 Classified
Processor: Intel i7-5930k
GFX Card: Dual AMD Firepro W7100 with s400 sync card
RAM: 16gb DDR4
OS Drive: Dual Samsung 128 SSD RAID with windows OS RAID
Content Drive: 8x Samsung 512gig RAID 1+0
RAID : LSI MegaRAID SAS 9260-8i
Other goodies: 10gig network card, iStar SSD hotswap cages, Blackmagic Decklink Extreme 4K (audio output works, HDSDI input does NOT work with Ai currently)
I've had mixed results specifically with the AMD graphics cards, but with the right driver and settings, I've been able to push beyond 4k resolutions (8000x1080)across 6 outputs thus far. I've pulled Nvidia graphics cards out of my render work station for testing, and seem to receiving far smoother playback (through fewer outputs) with the Nvidia products. I'm also currently testing the AJA Kona 4K card in my "spare time", no luck yet, still working on it.

Re: Custom Server Build Sheet
To use the Kona 4k output card you need specific drivers. If you get in touch with our support team on support@avolitesmedia.com they should be able to source these drivers from our production department.
Thanks and best regards
