Media timeline question

Hi
I have some media which has been converted to quicktime (MOV) format H.264 format. The media can be added to the media folder and played from the performance window, however I cannot drag the same media onto the timeline (in the timeline window). There is no "block" grey or red when I try to drag the file across

Media added directly to the timeline needs to be in compatible formats:
AiM
Wav
MP3
Salvation patches
AiM
Wav
MP3
Salvation patches
