Best Laptop for Ai...
Hey peeps,
I'm just embarking on my Ai education and need some advice on the best off the shelf laptop to buy for running Ai. Ideally I want something a little future proof that will last a couple of years, can anyone recommend one for me?
Many thanks,
Jan
Right now I'm looking at DELL 17.3" i7-3612QM 3.10GHz QUAD CORE 16GB 1TB which I will obviously have to upgrade graphics cards on... My budget is about £1000.

Re: Best Laptop for Ai...
Personally I run a Apple Mac Book Pro Retina 15" with base spec with windows 7 bootcamp and it runs really nicely. Most of the Ai engineering team, the development team and also the freelance Ai operators at Immersive also use this laptop too. So this would be my recommendation.
If you don't want to go down the apple & bootcamp route then dell systems are a good choice. But please ensure you have a dedicated NVidia or AMD Firepro graphics card in the system. Ai runs almost entirely on the GPU so it is very important to have a dedicated GPU.
Thanks and best regards

I too use the mac book pro 15" retina display, windows on bootcamp.. Nvidia graphic card 650, 16GB RAM.. It works brilliantly.. 15" is the only issue as I had a custom desktop earlier and was using a 21" display on that, but you can work around the smaller screen!
