Mapping AI onto a video wall with Gaps
Hi All,
I'm hoping someone can help me, I'm going to be using AI to control a video wall made up of LED panels. The screen is going to be configured as a 4x4 panel screen, then a 6x4 panel screen and then a second 4x4 panel screen. The gaps between the 3 screens will be exactly one panel wide. The three screens will be controlled by a single LED wall controller. Can anyone talk me through configuring AI to deal with these gaps please.
Thanks
John

Re: Mapping AI onto a video wall with Gaps
Hi John,
We have actually already made 2 tutorials that will guide you through this process which can be found in our tutorials page on the website: http://www.avolitesmedia.com/?page_id=3172
The first stage will be making the model which is covered by number 13. Modelling Screens in Blender. You could do the same in any 3D modeling package you are familiar that has UV mapping functionality but we have made this tutorial for Blender as it is free to use and has lots of good modeling tools. The second stage is using the Multi-Unit LED Config module to easily address Led screens which have been laid out in non standard configurations covered by number 7. Multi Unit LED Config.
If you need more assistance please do let us know
