Buddy Media in Performance Page

Shift click on media in the performance page will 'Buddy' two or more clips. They get connected with a blue line. What is the result of this? I don't seem to see any effect. I thought it might be to create an auto play- clip 1 ends and clip 2 starts.

it basically triggers any clips which are buddied simultaneously. Which might seem pointless until you combine it with the 'Lock to fixture' functionality, using the combination of the two you can basically set it up to trigger to multiple fixtures simultaneously. There are some other uses for it too I think..
