UV mapping crash on save????????? Empty UV mapping crash on save?????????

Hi guys so i have v8.01.307 installed.... when i save the uv mapping, Ai crashes,locks up? how do i fix this? a major pain in the rear......as i love to play with the uv mapping in ai.. help please
