How does one export to another Ai machine?

How does one export to another Ai machine?
Ok, probably a silly question, but how does one export an entire Ai setup from one Ai machine to another?
Clicking the project window and using 'Save As...' creates a .scb file, but upon opening that on another identical server I get the error message:
"ModuleContainerClass::LoadState() - error reading gui state for module Patch IO. Gui will be empty."
and low and behold.. the gui is empty.
Clicking the OK on that error Leads to this error:
"Error opening patch file, patch is probably incomplete."
I'm sure there is a proper way to do this... I just don't see it documented anywhere that is easy to find.
Thanks in advance!

copying the .scb file from the ai program folder works flawlessly and it is the exact same size file... odd.

it sounds like an export error to me ( software error, not user error ) the scb in the project folder is what is created when you save a project.

if you are using anything outside of default and custom settings (banks, geometry, models, patches...) I highly suggest copying the Distrib folder. My other strategy has been to copy only the following folders: Banks, Models, Projects, and sometimes Patches.
Paste all of those to your new machines distrib folder, most times windows will "merge" the folders, which sometimes can be a bit of a coin toss.

@arran - is this a bug you are looking into? Certainly file>save as... should work.
If not then a proper export tool is required.

'Save As' does work but sometime files have errors when copied over and over.
Simplest explanation for transfering a working project to another manchine is to copy the media and copy the whole distrib to the other machine and retain the file structures. Follow those 2 steps and you should be set.
