Batch conversion to AiM?
Has anybody found a piece of software for windows that will batch convert files to AiM Superstream, and will keep the folder structure intact?

Perhaps it may not be a bad idea to look into getting Livid Instruments to start development on their Batch Export Utility again? http://lividinstruments.com/support_downloads.php
This has been out of development for quite some time, yet it still seems to be the go to piece of software for batch conversion for many people. With a bit of tweaking to properly support hyper threading and enabling it to maintin folder structure it could be a decent piece of software.

Adobe Media Encoder is the best thing I have ever found, beats Compressor, is able to use all the cores in your machine, and allows for simple presets..

If only one could purchase any of that Adobe software without renting what you don't want/need anymore.

Unless I am missing something, this does not allow one to batch convert a set of folders and have the folder structure remain intact.

it will re-encode, but not replace the original file, if that is what you are asking

No, what I want to do is chose a folder or drop a folder with subfolders into a program, have it re-encode all of the files to another directory with all of the subdirectories intact. I don't see how adobe recode does this...

Again, as with it seems every other converter, the batch converter doesn't recognize directories or their structure.. so you are left to sit at a machine all day filling the batch, converting and then moving them back to the proper folder on the system. It is pretty unbelievable that none of these converters can convert a batch of files in various directories - and place them in the same structure in another folder.

+1 for the Adobe Media Encoder.
