Master/Slave

Hi all,

I am trying unsuccessfully to make my 2 T8 slave and master, I took a look at the manual, there is not much of explainations, so I have one machine Master, and the other one slave, the IP range is the same, as 192.168.1.xx. What I am not doing properly? I put the same project is in both machine also the media folder, and model folder. I usually used a lighting console to run the servers, which don't require the master slave configuration, since I put my BUP on the same universe and address. But I am going to do a show which don't require a console.

both machines need to have IP's within the artnet range.

for instance 2.0.0.1 and 2.0.0.2

I would like to ask some question regarding this Master/Slave which i still don't quite understand yet.

Let's just said i want to use my laptop to be the master and control my AI Server T-Series as a slave. All i running by network switch.
So this the question:
I want to control my Server via my Laptop. So do my Laptop need to have the Software Licenses key so that it can control my Server? OR without the Software Licenses key can i control the Server from my Laptop.?

appologies for taking a few days to get back to you, i needed to test this out.

you can use a machine on a demo licence to control your server but it is worth remembering that the demo version will give you a white output every few minutes. if you dont find this too distracting, then yes, it can be used as the master
