Is anyone using the Novation launch pad with Ai to trigger clips? If so does it work well?

Launchpad/ Launch Control

We have used the LaunchControl at FOH. Our implementation was unorthodox.
We attached the LaunchControl to a laptop running MidiOx. This then fed a Midi router. The router sent Midi to the four servers on the show.
Now I would try the Kenton Midi USB Host box, as it seems to do exactly what we did with a laptop.
We programmed the Launchcontrol from the Novation control panel for the specific CC changes and Notes we wanted.
To Ai, this was just a Midi input. We assigned intensity of several different layers to the CC knobs by right clicking in the Stage Patch window.
