Re: LFG 4 capture card support
Hi Chris
Our current solution for 4ch simultaneous HD SDi capture is via 2 x Datapath SDi2 cards which works really nicely.
We have supported other active silicon cards in the past, so theres a possibility the active silicon capture module may 'just work' providing you load the correct configuration file from the Active Silicon configuration program. Although this has never been tested so its far from a definite solution.
Thanks & best regards

Cheers Dave
i will have a play and let you know. The main reason i ask is when the mac version comes out anyone coming from a catalyst system will certainly have these cards installed for composite capture
many thanks

Re: LFG 4 capture card support
There are no official Win 64-bit drivers from Active Silicon for LFG-4 cards. However you can use 3rd party BT848 64-bit drivers with some success. In fact we just finished a leg with Ai running LFG-4's with no issues. It seems that Ai just needs a WDM stream class support from capture drivers to be able to work with them. So, in theory any card with proper WDM support should work. Although some work better than others depending on what pins etc are exposed and how they get configured and what are their defaults.
