Midi - using 2 devices (triggering media and using timecode)
Midi - using 2 devices (triggering media and using timecode)
Hey,
I'm setting up a system(ai 10) where we need to sync clips with timecode and also trigger clips with midi.
For syncing with timecode we are useing a mif4.
For triggering clips i'm sending osc messages to a processing patch which converts the osc message to midi and sends it to a virtual midiport.
Both systems are working, but I'm unable to merge them.
For timecode I need to set the mif4 in the settings as my midi master divice.
The same is for triggering clips. I need to set my virtual midi port as master device.
(For cc midi messages it's possible to do it without setting the virtual midi port as master devices.)
Is there a way to use two different midi devices at the same time?
Or is there a way to trigger a clip without the need to set my virtual midi device as master?
thanks
johannes
