Re: Building a Server for Ai software
Hello,
unfortunately we dont supply graphics cards with VGA output in any of our servers, so we are unable to advise on specific models.
the guidelines we have for graphics cards on our website are:
1 or 2 matching Nvidia Graphics Cards with at least 512Mb of RAM, purchased after 2009.
or
1 or 2 AMD Firepro Graphics Card purchased after 2011.
(on board Intel Graphics Card will not work)

We are confusing between VGA MSI R7970 Lightning and VGA Leadtek nVIDIA Quadro 510 2GB DDR3 128bit PCI-E. Could you give us a specific advice?which one is more suitable?
BTW we are using the Bondi Dongle which support 4 HD output,so Is it possible to show 4 HDMI output separately?on LED Screen for example

Re: Building a Server for Ai software
I am new to the media server world, but getting into it quickly. But my personal answer on the video card issue is to get a video card with as many DisplayPort (or mini displayport) connections as possible and no other connections.
You seem to be able to get an adapter that will convert between DisplayPort and every other connector (VGA, DVI, HDMI, etc.) so 4 displayport connectors and a pile of DP to XX adapters will probably save you on every gig.
Is there any reason not to go this way?

Re: Building a Server for Ai software
we have successfully used some of the lindy Displayport to VGA adaptors with the AMD Fire Pro V7900 graphics cards ( we also supply Display Port to DVI adaptors with the machines which come with Display Port connectors ), so yes, theres no reason why they couldnt be used.
for reference, we have / do supply AMD Fire Pro V7900 and W7000 graphics cards, so those are the only ones i can realy comment on with experience.
