Two different consoles- Avo Pearl Expert and GMA2

1 screen fixture

Layer 1

100 Ch mode

RollerCue selection mode

Change the blend mode (Via Color FX control channel)

Clips continue to transition with a dissolve.

Click on a clip in the Ai RollerCue with the PC mouse

Transition occurs with selected blend mode.

Viewing content in Ai interface pane and GL window- not on separate DVI output.

Good morning

The blend mode parameter will only effect how the layers are mixed together. If you wish to change the blend which is used for the 'cross fade on a single layer' from the desk then please try changing the 'Cross Fade Mode' parameter (channel 78).

Thanks and best regards

Thank you.

Will try in AM.

We have that parameter patched, and the value is changing in the layer screen. We didn't see any change on the output.

Any thoughts on why clicking on the clip in Ai directly executes the blend mode, ie wipe; yet does not from the desk?

When clicking the clip directly with the mouse then the system looks to see if a 'Transition Mode' is specified in the clip properties on the roller cue. If none is specified (-1) then the default blend mode is used (which is the one assigned to the layers blend mode).

When triggering from the lighting desk then the layers 'CrossFade Mode' parameter takes precedence over all of the above.
